Chance to shape the future of Brierley Hill

Updated: Feb 10, 2022

People can share their views on the long-term vision for Brierley Hill as part of a seven-week consultation which launched this week.

In a questionnaire, people are asked to consider their views on a number of planning issues and options, including potential revisions to the plan boundary, what areas could be suitable for new housing development and which areas could be the focus of new tree planting and other landscape improvements.

The outcome of the consultation will be used to inform the new and updated version of the Brierley Hill Area Action Plan.

Councillor Simon Phipps, cabinet member for regeneration and enterprise said:

"This consultation is the first step in updating the plan for the Brierley Hill area."

"We’ve already seen significant improvements in the local area including enhancements to the war memorial and decluttering works on the high street, and now it’s time to look at the longer-term vision for Brierley Hill town centre."

"I would encourage local residents, business owners, workers and community groups to engage in this process so we can produce a plan which benefits everyone."
