SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL HIGH STREET

SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL HIGH STREET
WHILE WE REGENERATE OUR TOWNS.

Our local high streets, markets and town centres are the heart of our communities and shopping locally can have a positive impact on communities and on our local economy.

This, in turn, supports job creation, sustainability, and keeps the local economy thriving. Furthermore, shopping locally often means getting fresh, high-quality products. Ultimately, shopping locally helps build a stronger community, promoting a sense of belonging and connection among residents, as well as keeping our local high streets alive and thriving.

With the multi-million-pound regeneration work underway in Dudley and Brierley Hill town centres, it may be a difficult and disrupting time for local people. Retailers and traders need your support and are still very much open for business. We are regenerating Dudley borough to bring better opportunities, transport links and creating more attractive and enjoyable places to shop and socialise. So why not shop locally, support local traders, grab a bargain, get a more personal service and have chat with familiar and friendly faces?

Parking

There's still plenty of local, central parking in our towns and high streets across the borough. Free parking is available for up to two hours at the council's pay and display carparks between the hours of 7am and 7pm and free parking on evenings after 7pm. On-street disabled parking for blue badge holders is available, as well as dedicated disabled parking bays on all Dudley Council pay and display carparks. More information about parking in Dudley borough.

DUDLEY
TOWN CENTRE.

In Dudley the new transport interchange development is now well underway, which will hugely improve public transport links with the wider Black Country and Birmingham. While the work continues and the bus station is closed, businesses in Birdcage Walk remain open for business and would appreciate your support. Dudley's high street and market also remain very much open for business.

BRIERLEY HILL
TOWN CENTRE.

The multi-million-pound regeneration of Brierley Hill town centre is well underway and heading towards completion. The work is improving transport links and creating a fantastic, attractive High Street and town. There will be a fabulous new shopping and eating environment complete with new paving, new seating, planters and trees, and an improved Civic Hall green for all to enjoy. The town's historic and thriving market is also undergoing improvement works. While work is underway the town and market are still very much open for business, make sure you support them – it's still easy to park and get to the town on foot, by car or bus. The fantastic market, shops and eateries all need your support.

Let’s carry on supporting our local businesses so we can all enjoy our brand new Brierley Hill.
